Privacy Policy
Last updated October 15, 2026
This policy explains what Voklogik ("we", "us") collects when you use voklogik.com, and what we do with it. If anything here is unclear, write to hello@voklogik.com.
Your mortgage numbers
The analyzer runs in your web browser. The amounts and options you enter (home price, rate, term, income, debts, assets and so on) are not sent to us. So you do not have to re-type them when you move between the analyzer and the Affordability Check, they are kept in your browser for up to 12 hours. Use "Clear all entries and start over" on either page to remove them.
The Affordability Check can also create a loan officer key-in sheet (PDF or CSV). It is built in your browser and saved to your device; we do not receive it. It contains the financial figures you entered, so share it only with the lender you choose.
Information we collect
- Your details. If you type your name, email or phone into the "Your details" section, it is saved only in your browser and is used to print on your PDF or printout. We do not receive it.
- A random ID and report counts. Your browser stores a random ID and a count of the free reports you have used. If you buy a plan, the ID links your purchase to your browser so your reports unlock.
- Purchase information. Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. Stripe tells us that a payment succeeded, which plan you bought, the email you gave at checkout, and your random ID. We store your random ID, how many paid reports you have left, whether a subscription is active, and your checkout email. When you return from checkout, your browser sends the order reference from the address to our server so we can attach the purchase to the browser you are using. We remove that reference from the address once it is used and do not send it to our analytics. If you use the Manage subscription link, that page is hosted by Stripe, which asks for the email you used at checkout and handles the sign-in.
- Technical information. Our hosting provider, Netlify, may log your IP address, browser type and the pages you request.
Business accounts (Topaz and Opal)
If you create a business account we collect your email address and a password. We store the password only as a one-way scrambled value, never in readable form. We also keep the branding details you choose to add: your name, company, title, phone, email, website, MLS number and NMLS ID, plus any logo and headshot you upload. We use them only to place them on the reports you create, to run your account and to bill you. Billing is handled by Stripe, and we do not see or store your full card number. A sign-in cookie keeps you signed in on your device for up to 30 days, and signing out removes it. To close your account and delete what we hold, email hello@voklogik.com.
Widget pages and leads
If you visit an Opal member's Voklogik page and choose to send your details, we collect what you type (your name, email, optional phone number and optional message), the estimate you ran, and the time you agreed to be contacted. We send it to that member and to Voklogik, and keep it so the member can see it in their dashboard. We also keep a scrambled form of your network address for a short time, only to limit spam. You do not have to send your details to use the estimate tool. To ask us to remove a lead, email hello@voklogik.com.
To tell members how busy their page is, we add up simple daily totals: how many visits, how many estimates were run, how many Affordability checks were opened and how many leads were sent. These totals do not include your name, email or network address. A browser storage item may be used so a repeat visit in the same session is counted once. Members who save their own scenarios in their account can delete them at any time.
Cookies and similar technologies
Voklogik uses Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, such as how many people visit, which pages and buttons they use, and roughly where visitors are located. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to do this. It uses your browser's local storage for the items above. Stripe and Netlify may set their own cookies. Loading the site also fetches fonts from Google Fonts and a PDF library from Cloudflare's cdnjs, so those providers receive your IP address.
How we use information
- To run the analyzer and create your PDF.
- To count free reports and unlock paid ones.
- To answer your questions, handle refunds and keep the site secure.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers that help us run Voklogik, namely Stripe (payments), Netlify (hosting and storage), Google Analytics (site usage), Google Fonts and Cloudflare. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Purchase records are kept as long as we need them for support, accounting and legal reasons. Information stored in your browser stays there until you clear your browser data.
Your choices and rights
You can clear your browser data at any time to remove what is stored on your device. Clearing it will also reset your free report count and disconnect any paid reports from your browser, so contact us first if you have paid. You can ask us to access or delete the purchase records we hold about you, and depending on where you live you may have additional privacy rights. Write to hello@voklogik.com and we will respond.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect information, and we rely on Stripe for payment security. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Children
Voklogik is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
